Marahau Beach Camp - Accommodation at the gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park

Located steps away from the gorgeous Marahau Beach, and right in the heart of the Abel Tasman Village, the Camp is the perfect accommodation base for your Abel Tasman adventure. The entrance to the Abel Tasman Coast Track is within an easy 15 minute walk. Located next to the departure point for water taxi and sea kayak trips into the Abel Tasman the Marahau Beach Camp also has a general store, booking office and a sensational waterfront cafe and beer garden.

In 1997 Peter and Sandra Alborn purchased the lease on the Beach Camp and quickly set about restoring the place to its former glory. The business grew quickly over the next few years and started to outgrow the tiny camp shop and the one water taxi capacity that was inherited with the purchase of the business. In 2001 the Alborns purchased an old house next to the existing leasehold property and developed that into a sunlit and well-proportioned shop, booking office and sensational waterfront cafe. Backed up with friendly and personal service and exceptional daily organization of the water taxi and other parts of the enterprise, the business continued its exponential growth.

Marahau Camp Beach has maintained its original charm and character, even after all of its buildings and facilities were completely refurbished in 2016. The Camp is clean, safe and has everything you could need for a wonderful stay.
